Ever made a list of your equipment

so as i go through all my reefing extra equipment, it made me wonder how much money is sitting in my current setup.

most of us don't buy much equipment new and go used since there is always someone upgrading or getting out
have you ever wonder how much it would cost to build your current setup from scratch, not counting the tank itself or livestock. so no sand, rock, fish or coral just equipment

im glad i like to buy used. i went to BRS and made a cart of all my current equipment.
lets just say your mind will be blown if you do this as to how much a set up truly costs.

i warn you to not do this if your wife or girlfriend is around to see the total amount

this doesn't includes tanks, livestock, plumbing or any surplus of parts im hoarding for back up stuff

Just now, before seeing this thread, I’m sitting here moaning about getting back in and being about $400 in on cheap crap and my only livestock is a thousand copepods dumped in yesterday, trying to make myself feel better thinking how some of you nuts spend that on a single light and you bought four of them.
When I got out six years ago I sold my display for $1000 and emptied my garage for another $250 I think it was. But yet I’m rummaging around looking for things I no longer have.

yah i remember a guy a long time ago that bought all AI fixtures for his build when he started at full retail. spent like 4k on his 120 gal for lights and i thought that was CRAZY
