Had to re-learn the first major virtue of this hobby, PATIENCE. Wanted to jump on the Advanced acrylic groupbuy without having a stand to measure the interior dimensions and now I have to sell my custom sump because it simply doesn't fit in my stand. :a43:

For sale is a brand new sump (has not seen a drop of water yet)

40" in length
20" front to back
18" tall

approximately 62 gallon sump made in the thicker 1/2 inch thick acrlyic for extra sturdiness. black baffles and black bottom. first stage has 2-1.5 inch holes drilled for overflow plumbing that forces water bubbles to rise up and burst before going onto second stage that holds 2 large sized filter socks (socks not included as I have not purchased them yet). Then the water goes into the skimmer section which, over to a refugium section and over under over baffles and back to a return section. Return section also has a 3 probe holder built in.

If you have questions, please ask here or through pm. I live in Pasadena but can meet since the sump fits in the backseat of my sedan. I paid $400 but will sell for $350. As they say, my loss is your gain?

Here's a picture of the sump. If you want more pics, pm your number and I can text you some more pics.

skimmer and return pump not included. lol

Sorry to hear it didn't fit. How much were you off? I know with my sump I should've shortened it by 2". Now the sump is backed up on the wall A/C outlet. Ill have to break the outside wall and move the outlet now.

I was off by about 2 inches on each side because of the unexpected braces.

nope. cant do that. they are not just for the door hinges, they provide support for the top braces.

Dam! I would of bought it from you right away but John is building one for me for pickup this Friday and also picking up 2 tanks from him as well can't wait to see the sump and the tanks! Hope you find a buyer for the sump so you can get going on your build. I will ask a few of my friends to see if they are in the market for one. :)

pm's replied. to answer some questions. the skimmer section is 9x20 and whatever pump is being run on the skimmer can go under the filter sock section but the body of whatever skimmer is being run will have to fit in the 9x20 section. also as far as trades, the only trade i'm looking for at this point would be for a newer vortech mp 40wes.
