So this Father's Day I'm taking the wife and kids to some OC Coral and reef shops. Question is...what ones should I hit up. Haven't been to any, so some suggestions would be great!

There's another one by reef lounge I can't remember the name of. Not much for sale but really beautiful display tanks and a nice fella works there.

Dude.. Don't go to reeflounge.. Unless you want to speak with someone that doesn't know anything about what you want to buy. And if you do manage to talk to someone who can help you, you'll pay an arm and a leg for it.

I got corals, chance of coral, reef raft, all solid places to go. Even seaside on Huntington Beach.

The owner at ReefLounge does have some attitudes tho. Certainly not the friendliest I've met. All others employees there are cool, but they all seem to fear the owner as well. I once asked an unpriced coral and was told that "jimmy is eating lunch right now and it's probably not a good idea to bother him at this moment". I almost wanted to laugh out loud coz that's just downright ridiculous.

My experiences exactly... After that happened to me I left and came back about 5-6 months later hoping for a better outcome.. I asked the price of an unpriced colony and she told me she would have to take a picture of the coral and send it to Jimmy to ask... Why the f*ck isn't Jimmy working and helping out if he's the "head honcho". I literally laughed and told her to not worry about it and left, never to return... Sh*t like that makes me so upset, because there's guys out there like Bryan at igotcorals and Robert at @chance of coral . That will literally go out of their way to help you. I will not support a store like reef lounge.

Ha I did the same..., months ago I went for the 1st time and was told by the owner to "read the pricing sheets" when I asked for an unpriced fish. That guy is just unbelievable.

David, the owner of seaside, is the exact polar opposite to this jimmy dude. Same goes to Chad and Kyle from Coral Gazer and Robert from COC. Even the guys and girls from Tongs are better on their worst days.

Wow that's suprisingly to me. I never had that experience there. I left without buying something once and got some jabs about it, but it seemed friendly, more joking than anything else.

My favorite store is coral gazers, Chad and Kyle are awesome and they always have nice coral and healthy fish! I think they might be closed on Sunday's so call and make sure they are open. Chance of coral also has tons of coral at awesome prices. Reef raft is another good store to hit up if you are looking for some really rare pieces. Bryan at I got corals also has a great store with a lot of coral to choose from!
