Whats your favorite metal halide bulb?

For me its my Radium 250w SE. Its a very nice color bulb. I love the way it makes the colors pop in my tank.

Radium 250 SE as well, even better with Galaxy's.

Although I would like to try the new Ushios, ( I think it is Ushio) , the one line designed just for reefers.

At this time, I am getting equipment together for a solar lit 300, but that is for a different thread.

Phoenix 14k for me. I haven't tried much of anything else. But, I'm really happy with the color of this bulb.

I recently tried a bunch of different bulbs. From totally yellow (brighter than a super nova, though) to black-light-on-a-velvet-Elvis blue. I went back to my 14K phoenix.

a pic won't really do much justice to the look of a MH bulb--the white balance on each camera won't be the same, especially as compared to how your eyes adjust.

I was thinking about going maybe old school.. and use some SE 6500 with some t5 actinic supplementation. that way I can get the growth of the 6500 and get the nice coloring with the actinic. anyone else try or do this?
