For the palys? That literally just happened out of nowhere. The bta’s, when I first got them, went inside a temporary pet keeper that I drilled with holes. Put the clowns in there with the nems and the anemones hosted them in 3 days. One of the bta’s split too. So yeah, the clown in the video actually has a nem, that’s why I found it weird and hilarious when he was in the paly’s

Yeah, I have a buddy whos nems wont host the clowns at all. Clowns pay them on attention. I just did the pet keeper route, to "help" I placed my ipad on an hour long video of clowns in anemones and taped that to the tank in front of them. I dont have a printer to print out a picture. That didnt help, on the 3rd day after work they were rubbing all over the nem. when introduced to the tank, they stayed together.

My female just started hosting my pink BTA. Took about 6+ months and the nem moved right next to where the clowns like to hang out. I'd say my bta is about 5 inches across, not enough room for the male quite yet, hoping the clown will start to feed the nem.

What anemone do percula clownfish like?
In their natural environment ocellaris clownfish will host in Magnificent Sea Anemone (Heteractis magnifica), Giant Carpet Sea Anemone (Stichodactyla gigantean) and Merten's Carpet Sea Anemone (Stichodactyla mertensii). Clownfish do not require host anemones to survive or thrive.

it will take time it's not normal for them.

This. They also use the nem for protection. If they’re not worried about being bullied or I guess a predator it’ll take longer im assuming. My friend only has two clowns with his nem, no host. I have a wrasse that keeps the clownfish on their toes, so I’m pretty sure that threat is what got them in the nems. This video was just funny.
