Seahorse need superb parameters, you should look for a hob skimmer and you'll definitely be using some chemi pure...

It's hard to achieve the prestine parameters when sea horses require 3 daily feedings..

Sure :) lol
Well.. Firstly I have to say 10g is very small for ponies.. That being said, I have beat the odds and kept a pair of breeding Reidi in an 8g but it had a ton of macro to help water quality and frequent water changes since seahorses are so filthy .

The first and best piece of advice I can give you is to make sure that you only purchase tank bred seahorses from a reputable breeder. I prefer to buy from Seahorse source. The owner Dan is extremely helpful ,whether or not you buy from him he is ready to lend a hand if there any issues. His ponies are by far the healthiest I've come across. If you do not buy tank bred seahorses then you run the risk (or rather absolute certainty ) of introducing parasites and disease into your tank which can decimate all the seahorses. Secondly ,most times they will not eat frozen Mysis shrimp readily and if they do ,it can be short-lived and they will end up eventually starving themselves. I've had it happen several times.
As long as you maintain a low to medium flow make sure that your temps can stay at or below 75 preferably 74 and maintain the water quality you should be fine. As far as corals go , the only ones that are compatible with seahorses are pretty benign softies such as mushrooms, Zoas, leathers, and the like...absolutely nothing with stingers or tentacles because seahorses will obviously drag their tails across everything, Also of course ,avoid clams , and large crabs including large hermits . If you have further questions feel free to pm me, happy to help :) just do your research and understand it's time consuming .. They require 3 feedings daily minimum to thrive . I do 4-5.. But an occasional day with only 2 isn't usually an issue.
Good luck!
