So I am going to try and do a diy led over my tank in the next month. I have a bunch of led chips. Drivers, dimmer, etc. Just bought a soldering iron and some 26g wires.
I know a lot of people use u channels as heat sinks. Has anyone thought about jamming foil into the inside of the u channel for additional heat absorption? My plans are to alternate 5 rows of led with t5s over a 36" x36" tank. Whites for shimmer and blues for pop. T5 will be blues, coral, and purple plus.
And Wth am I suppose to glue the led chips down with? Since I'm here.
