First Wrasse ever!!

So i bought this wrasse yesterday, acclimate it for like 45 minutes and i when MIA the whole night,but already come out and eat pellets today. I already made the screen cover to prevent it go "wood floor surfing", but it's kind of crook. Does anyone know what i did wrong?? I can make it lay flat to cover the whole tank but when ever i pick it up, it go crook it like the picture show.For the Zoas, can some one ID them?? I look like BBEB to me but not sure, my friend give it to me a while back

Looks like a naoko, sold a few and liked it so much I had to keep one for my display lol. .. about your screen top that's one of the many reasons I just like going to the window shop giving them the clear mesh and measurements and letting them make it. I always choose the bronze tone frame which doesn't rust and is very sturdy. Have done 6 frames and all straight none warp and months later on the oldest frame and no rust.

[MENTION=10145]mmarro22[/MENTION] i bought the aluminum type in HD so i guess i should not rust on me. if it rust i think i will do it your way the next time then lol, and yeah it's a Naoko. still wonder if it can get along with other types of fairy wrasses??

The aluminum one I am pretty sure rusts. If you take the clear mesh to a window shop they do it poetry cheap. For my nano it was roughly 15"x15" cost was like $5.60, for my display I got two that were like 30x24 each and they cost like $12 each I think. Depending on your tank size and on your naoko, may or may not be ok. They can get a little dominant. Larger system more fish equals more distractions and more hiding places better chances. Smaller system I feel it might be a little harder but still possible.

On the screen you provably streched it when putting it in with the rubber, the way i do it is lay it on top evenly and just push the ruber in with the tool and dont pull on the screen any bit just let it go in on its own with the pressure from the tool, Im not really sure how to explain it but when you get one side in and then strech the other it pulls the center to tight.

The Naoko was also my first wrasse and I was not smart enough to know they are carpet surfers. Good color, personality and price for a wrasses. You can probably reduce the warp on the screen by bending it the opposite way.

Lol, so true. Wrasses are beautiful fish, especially small fairy or flashers. I am already thinking about trading my Anthias for more small wrasses.

Sooo the wrasse when MIA since last night. Though it hide in the rocks and will come out today but nope didn't see him all day. And i found this skull around the sandbed but not sure if it's from him. Kinda too small for it i guess, but i still sorry ((
