So today around 1:00 I fed my fish. Everyone in the tank was looking happy, then it was my turn so I fed myself some lunch. After eating I walked by my tank and noticed something on the carpet, It was my Picasso Clown. Ive been wondering how long it would take for someone to jump out of my new 50 cube cadlight tank ( it looks like it took 2 weeks) This is the first time Ive had an open top tank but I didn't think my clown would be the first to take the leap. So at first glance I was thinking to myself... time to flush him, I picked him up, looked at him, he was pretty dry and didn't even move one bit. As I walked to the bathroom for his one flush salute I thought to myself... I should just put him in the water it probably wont hurt. So I held him in my hand in front of the return current and in about ten second he started to wiggle and that surprised me. I really didn't think he would survive so I put him in the refugium and walked away for a bit. When I came back the little guy was swimming around but not very well. I watched him for a about 30 mins or so and he seemed to be recuperating. I put him in the main tank since he was doing better and after a few hours of watching him he was back to his old self and looks to be doing great! I'm not sure if he will be the same tomorrow morning but he is eating and very attentive and I look at that as a good sign. Has anyone ever had something similar to this happen to them? :goldfish:
