My daughter hits me with science project papers today and wants to be like pops and do it fish related... Does anyone have an idea of what we can do it on? Or a website to find a good one. She's in 4th grade so nothing crazy hard... I've been searching but I don't see much..

Could try the effects of different light cycles on algae growth. A few 2.5, 5 or 10g tanks with different light cycles.

What timeline do you have? It would seem you'd need a long timeline for it to be directly related to fish (growth, mortality, etc. )

I just thought.. Ask the question, Do fish sleep? Then explain how they work, always have to be moving, no eye lids, and "sleeping"...

2 tanks, 1 with plants...effects of macroalgae on nutrients...

The prob with a fish-centric experiment is the time it would take.

You could always try the effects of an Oscar on goldfish populations...

Or fish density effects on nutrient load.
