It has been 3 days that one of my fishes (long fish) stand head down ALL THE TIME. Even when he move around the tank, he's always in the same position, head straight down. For 3 days, I've watched him many time and never saw him in a different position for the last 3 days. One thing I noticed that he only use his side fins to swim, not using its tail at all. He looks like he has a weight tie to his mouth that's pulling him down.
Anyone ever experience the same thing in their fish?
Thanks

What kind of fish is it? There are a few fish that swim that way so they can pick at the reef easily. A fish type or picture would be quite helpful!

could be a problem with the fish. For example jap borbs if they are brought up too fast (deep sea fish) then they tend to not swim correctly due to the pressure built up in their stomach. Something about air being caught and they swim weird. I could be wrong and dont take my word for it. Its just something that i remembered reading before getting my borbs

Similar to a diver getting the bends, it would be hard to believe your fish got bent while swimming in 18" of water! It could however be a problem with the swim bladder. Does it look distressed?
