From personal experience, I would introduce the yellow and purple tang at the same time or introduce the bigger specimen 2nd. They tend to be extremely aggressive towards each other especially after establishing territory. Hopefully others will chime in regarding the other fish.

No lionfish. It will eat any fish it can fit in its mouth. So goodbye cleaner wrasse/fancy wrasses/basslet/cleaner shrimp/blah blah blah. Plus your hand will be in that tank a lot and even with fancy gloves I think you're still prone to a nasty sting. Don't chance feeding your lionfish hundreds of dollars worth of tiny fish.

The blue chromis wont school unless there's a predator for them.

No Lionfish -- As stated, it will eat anything that fits in it's mouth, and even the fu manchu lion can almost take out something it's own size.

Thanks for all the advice. Was kinda hoping someone would say the lion fish was ok! Kid really likes it lol. Aside from that this list is ok? Too many fish? Good combo or any other fish you guys can recommend?

Caution against the Royal gramma. They can be very mean. And hard to get out of your tank if needed. I would wait on both the powder brown and the Achilles together. They are both ich magnets. Especially the Achilles. I wouldn't recommend that combo unless you have a lot of experience.

The number of fish seems fine. I have more in my 180.

Rememder. We are giving advice off of our own experience. There are no written rules. Others might give an opinion opposite of mine. Neither are wrong.

you are missing anthias. Anthias will give your tank a lot of playful movements. Lyretail are the easiest of them. they school if you get a male and a harem of female. The indian ocean lyretail are the most vibrant

That's keeping an eye out. James is right. I have a trio of lyretails in my 180. Beautiful fish. I have an auto feeder on the tank just for them.

Agree, I have a school of lyretails in my 300. They keep the tank looking very active. Require a few feedings a day but I have heard others keeping them with 1x/day feeding

I have a trio of lyretail and only feed them once a day and they're doing great. I do feed them a variety of food when I feed them though to make sure they stay full for a day.

thanks very much for all the advice, been a busy week so not had time to reply. reading whats been said and looking at pictures. Thinking of swaping out the chromis for the anthias. Tang wise. we were gonna wait till the end to indroduce them. but that was mainly for cost lol. Royal gramma was the wifes choice lol. need to take her back to the lfs and entice her with something else.

this past week, whenever i have time, ive been looking up about QT's. just spent $70 on chemicals and parts to make work. i know that this will be a great investment. but honestly...im sh*t scared of doing something wrong. i'll read more into it.

once again, thanks for all the advice you guys have given me. hopefully when its all done, my choices will look nice.

i showed it to the wife, she was like "meh" lol
tested the tank yesterday after coming back from MI,
Ammonia: 0.00ppm
Nitrite: 0.00ppm
Nitrate: 10ppm

gonna give it a few more days and see if the params hold out, then i'll start the QT. cleanup crew and maybe, if i find nice ones, a pair of clowns this weekend.
