Hey everyone. Was thinking about installing a floatswitch in my ato reservoir but want to see how others have done this. Any ideas are welcome.

And Cody. I've already googled this

Buy scrap acrylic and create a mount that you glue on at the level you want it at. Also google again. :p

Haha yeah. Its tought to do that in an ato reservoir from AA because of the lid and tiny hole for the wires. I want to maintain the clean look of the reservoir without having scrap busting out the top. Has anyone seen a magnetic float holder? I can't seem to find one

I'm not sure how I would attach it to the resevoir without it holding the lid open or hanging out the top. And I know the magnet will eventually leak rust but we still use power heads and tunze magnets no? I also use a frag rack that has magnets haha

Hey Andy, when you get this done post some pictures.. I was thinking about doing the same thing because I forget to check the level in my reservoir. I am using a 22 gallon Brut trash can for ATO reservoir, and am leery of drilling a hole. Would hate to have 20 gallons of water on the floor due to a leak behind my tank skin. Wanted something I can hook to my APEX to send an alert when the water level is low...

You can buy magnets n plastic dip them ( or use the small mag float ) then get scrap acrylic and bend them to 90 glue and you are done
