I'm running a Fluval 405 on my 11.5 nano tank right now.. currently only has a clown fish, red star fish, rock/sand.. I'm using it as a mechanical filter and for water circulation to cut out any powerheads/koralias.. however, I feel like it may be too much. nothing I see wrong with it but I don't know what my clown fish might be going through.
he seems to be happy with the current, I don't have sand flying around or anything. I know I can adjust it too but lately I've just had it on full power with no issues.. I'm curious tho what you guys think..
- should I cut the power down and add a koralia or something?
- Is it a bad idea to just use this for circulation?
I took a couple years off the hobby so I'm a little rusty.. any input would be great.
