It's always a 50/50 chance, they may don't be good, I purchase a lemon peel while back from a reputable LFS and in 2 days fish die! the other fish I bought the same day {2 damsels) still growing strong. many years back I bought a blue tang from petco and it lived 5 yrs till I give it up, another occasion I got a clown from Petco and same story 6 yrs and still have it , and this little sucker is been going to some hard times is my baby girl nemo . To me the secret is find out when did they got them in to the store , the fresh the better! I know Petco employees aren't reefers and know much about caring for them. So if the fish is been there to long is a NO NO.

If you have a QT then it should be OK. By the way, Tongs in Fointain Valley had this fish labeled as Mimic Tang and was selling for $25
