I've bought a few things from them over the years enough so that he'll acknowledge me when I walk in.

Prices are about average for the stores in this area.

If you want cheap frags and an a member isn't selling any, head over to Mystic Reef. Frags from $5 and up.

Fontana Tropical is avg. I've been trying to control the ich issue that I got from them about a year ago. But it's not their fault I didn't quarantine.

Corals at Fontana is also avg to below avg. Nothing stunning.

also had a nice naso, but one eye was missing.
I also saw a Powder Blue Tang with its eye missing as well

Prices are above average compared to the OC or LA fish stores

For those looking for a healthy and eating Med/Large Copperband Butterfly they had one for $35. Price a little steep but at least its eating frozen brine. Copperband is in the same tank as the Moorish Idol (not eating)

I've floated in and out of there for years. It's so-so, but considering it's Fontana, and there aren't many LFS out this way, well... It is what it is.

Prices seem a bit high, the livestock seems as iffy as anyone else's, but they do have more of a selection that some places.

Frankly, I'll go to Jans down in Montclair or - almost exclusively - Total Tropical in Upland. It's not often I stray from either of those two (it's a location thing, for one).

I'll say that the "bad" shops are few and far between these days; lots of stores have popped up where they're REALLY taking care of the customers... IMO it's a great time to be in this hobby!

What kind of corals are you looking for? Might want to ask on the IEMAS club board (or in the club forum here); you never know when someone might be willing to break out the clippers...
