I clear my tank every 2-3 months. These things grow like crazy. Just a small amount of skin left and they grow right back. Like a weed. Great for beginners. Hard to kill.

Can I ask how you managed to get so many off your rocks? Takes me 10 minutes to scrape a few polyps off.

I use my cutters that I use for fragging. They are basically a pair of dikes. I cut at the base of them and just skim the layer of rock off. Works great.

So you essentially just cut them at the base? Doesnt that release a plume of toxins into the water?

No I cut the rock at the base of the the xiena. So there’s a small amount of rock still attached to them.
