I've got some garlic additive and some other stuff that helps them build up there slime coat. Let me know I can drop it off

If you bring him to me I have plenty of divided empty tanks. Atm he can actually have a 60 gallon tank all to himself. If he's still in good shape atm he should make it being well fed and in water with copper. You could take him back in two to four weeks when he's better. Qt him yourself while you go fallow. Lmk

Yes I've been feeding them this recipe I got from adrock a couple years ago. It's worked for me before and my yellow tang and sailfin are doing just fine. Purple just won't kick the ick.

Just wanted to give an update. The purple tang pulled through! I want to give a big thanks to the people that offered to help me.
Is it a good idea to keep soaking the food in garlic and vitamin c?

Yes, keep on feeding like that because ick can be in your tank for months hiding on the rocks and corals.
