Too many horror stories of RS with broken seams. When I look at the RS stand, I just can't understand why they built it with such thin wood, and expect to not have any deflection over time...especially if any water gets on the wood. I'm no structural engineer, but even I can tell that there isn't a lot of margin of safety on those stands especially in the middle. They look similar to IKEA furniture to me. I heard RS have upgrade their stand with more metal and reinforcement. But I haven't seen one lately.
