I bought a used rodi unit and was told the media was new. However the TDS was 28ppm. I replaced all the media, but in reality only the DI resin had to be replaced. I was stupid. :/
Anyways micron and carbon blocks are useable. The di container is spent, but you can have it. It's not refillable. I current have all the media stored in a bucket of rodi water so it doesn't dry out.
