I'll Paypal 10 bucks.

For me, I'd like to see the cash turned into toys which could be donated to a children's hospital. I wanted to solicit donations for this, but thought it's too late.

I'd rather see the 50/50 separate I think?

Charity of choice would be Leave No Paws Behind, a dog rescue in L.A. I foster dogs for them so I have seen where the money goes, and it's 100% to the cost of caring for the dogs. Most of the money goes to vet bills because almost all of the dogs are ones even the other rescues won't pull because they are dying or too old or seriously ill... these are the dogs who have no hope and are scheduled to die. Leave No Paws Behind will get them out of the shelter so at least they don't die there alone. Our last foster was dumped by her owners for being too old. She had congestive heart failure and really bad arthritis but instead of dying at the shelter she had 4 good months in a home with my family before it really was her time. So anyway... That's who I nominate. :) https://www.facebook.com/LNPB0611

And I'm in - will Paypal when I'm not on my phone :p

Do you mean toys for tots? Or having someone physically buying the toys and dropping then off at a childrens hospital? I think it would be cool to do the second option, maybe have a group of scr members drop them off. Would be nice to see all the kids faces light up.

OK, little bit of an update, everyone I talk to prefers two separate drawings, so we will now have tickets for the 50/50 drawing and separate tickets for the raffle.

Also I have a lot of people asking to pay with Paypal/Credit/Debit, which is all ok forms of payment or Cash of course. If you can not make it to the shop before the drawing to make your ticket purchase or you prefer CREDIT/DEBIT/PayPal in advance send me a PM or TXT (562 822 6673) and we will get you set up. Be sure to include your full name and phone number in the message so I can write it on your tickets.

So far Wounded Warrior Project has the most votes (with Children's Hospital coming up close behind). We are going to make a decision on Charity by Saturday AM. Get your votes in.

This is a really cool idea. Someone mentioned a 75/25 split for the winnings which would be for the greater cause. Also, I think the animal rescue was too quickly overlooked. I say this because larger groups like Wounded Warriors and such have the ability to, and do bring in a lot more donations than a TRUE local rescue group can. Some rescues are ran by crazy people, yes, but there are also many legit ones with organization members spending a small fortune of their own money saving dogs lives and finding them homes. Just something to consider. My 2 cents...
