If you're testing your salinity with the Hanna salinity and temperature test pen shown below, they must be calibrated often for reliable results. It had been a couple weeks since I calibrated mine and I noticed that some of my mushrooms were detaching. Double checked salinity with refractometer and Milwaukee digital refractometer and my tanks were all at 1.028. Hope the PSA helps someone.

Same as Dorado for me. I switched from the Hannah pen after getting some high ICP test results back while the pen was reading 1.025 calibrated. I went Tropic Marin hydrometer based of Ali at Amazing Reef and Aquariums advice. It shows pretty close to ATI ICP results. Pair it with a plastic 500ml graduated cylinder off amazon, like $10. Pull 450ml of water from the display with the cylinder, drop in the hydrometer float. A very simple and consistent test.
