Hi everyone! Dylan here. I’ll be moving to SoCal near the end of the summer, and I figured I might as well create an account and start getting to know ya’ll. I’m not sure exactly where in LA I’ll be, but definitely somewhere close to USC.
Currently I have a NUVO 10 set up, super minimal livestock as I’m getting ready to move. Fish include a diadema dotty and a wyoming white clown. Inverts are an emerald crab, small urchin, a trochus, and a couple nassarius. Other than that I’ve got a RBTA, two baby shrooms, and a few zoa/paly varieties. I run an ai prime HD, sicce 1.0, RFG nozzle, jager heater, and a 3D printed media caddy with floss and ROX carbon. This system also has an apex controller - total overkill, I know, but I used to have an 80g setup and once I broke that down I figured, why not!
I’ve been in the hobby about 3.5 years now. I started with this NUVO 10, then I moved to a larger apt where I was able to set up my 80g deep blue rimless (I found an insane deal on my local fish club, shout out Boston Reefers Society!!), which was up for about 2 years.
I found another great deal on an old ReefOctopus 35 gallon tank, which is what I’ll be setting up when I move out west. Looking forward to meeting and trading with everyone once I’m in the area
