I'm actually tryna sale my 8 bulb T5 fixture to go to leds and this is the one I'm looking at.. How do you like the light? Sorry to de-rail your thread

No worries...I actually like the light I just wish it was a little more blue vs purple, personal preference. Other than that it's a great light. I have a nano on my main tank that is probably 3 years old now.

Probably depends on the dimensions and what you want to keep. I'm sure if you mounted it 12" or more off the water you'd get a decent spread but not sure that you'd be able to keep high light requirements in much of the tank.

This was over a 50 cube and it was only run at about 50-60% but the rockscape was pretty high. With the legs it extends to 36" I believe so it really just depends on what you want to keep and the actual tank size. You can get the 120 degree optics if you need more coverage.
