My Tank Build
#1
Well I got injured at work on Monday and got the news yesterday That surgery is the best option. Could be off work for 3 months to a year. So certain expenses need to go.

Here’s the tank currently

Selling as a whole for $2200

Tank 3 side starphire 60”X24”X24” center overflow with 3 holes drilled for retune and drain. two 3/4” and one 1.5” also is drilled on back plain for close loop

Stand is wood no water damage at all but has a few scuffs. 60”X30”X30”. Has built on back add on that has hide away control panel. Also had add led lighting and door sensors that work flawlessly with the apex to turn on the lights when doors are opened.

Canopy is floating built very strong and will hold any lights you might want to use

Glass sump 48”X16”X16” has 3 equality sized sections

Equipment
•Neptune apex WiFi, eb832, eb8, and breakout box
•Korallin 1502 calcium reactor, 20lb CO2 bottle and regulator
• 2 vortech MP40wQD that are basically brand new not one speck of algae on either wet side and only ran at 40% for 2 months.
• vectra m1 used on the close loop system work wonderful. No heat issues at all.
• 2 radion gen1
•vortech MP10w being used in fuge
• maxspect ethereal with wireless controller it’s currently being used as fuge light
• itech 200 skimmer with upgraded dc pump and float valve installed in collection cup so apex can shut off when full. Skims like a beast
•Two 250w DE metal halides pendents, ballasts, and with new 20k bulbs.
•Fluval SP4 is the return pump.

Comes with all live rock a maroon clown and a snail.

Also going to add a 7 stage 100gpd ro/di system and a mixing station that has two 30 gallon food grade barrels and a quiteone pump that mixes up the salt barrel.

I do. But I’ll take a 40% pay cut and extra spending isn’t smart

That pay cut will not have taxes taken out of it though, since it is an insurance payment. So while it is less a month it is not nearly as much as you might think yet.

I am sorry you got injured at work. I go hurt very badly once myself. I was on limited work for a year and then no work for 18 months, then limited work for 2 months and then no work for 6 months.

My work comp pay ended up being about a 5% difference for me. But if you factored in what I saved by removing the expenses of going to work, I was up in the end.

It might not be as bad as you think it is going to be. Sure maybe hold off on buying corals and fish for a bit, but I would hate for you to sell that beautiful tank that you can tell you put a lot of time and love into, only to find out financially, it wasn't so bad.

My injury severely limited what I was able to do maintenance wise on my system (couldn't lift 2 lbs for 3 months). But I found ways to get around it. You can always ask the community for help too.

If it is the right thing for you, I wish you the best of luck. If you decide to part out, please let me know.

Just to be clear at this time I’m not selling vectra m1 by it’s self. Do to it being part of the close loop I’d like to leave it with the tank.
