For sale is my 40 gallon breeder system with stand for $220.
About the tank: Tank is all glass with a center trapezoid overflow. Tank is in good condition with some scratches at the sand line, and some coralline on the overflow box. The overflow drains through the bottom of the tank, through the stand, into a sump. The dimensions are 36w x 15.5d x 17h.
About the Stand: this was made by the previous owner from building construction wood. It is solid and heavy. Which is good because it also sits 41 tall! A great viewing height. Stand is also 39 3/8" wide. I think it was 19" deep but I should remeasure it. The stand has many layers of black paint but I used a newspaper to clean it so there is a chalky film on it in the pictures. The doors close flush with the stand walls and open 180 degrees allowing easy access to the sump.
About the sump: sump was an acrylic tank 36w x 10d x 16h. It has triple baffles from the drain entry where an Aqua Euro USA Skimmer sits, with the refugium section next, and the last section where a mag 7 retrun pump sits.
About the other parts:
1) This system does not include any lights;
2) The skimmer is in very good condition and was recently cleaned with Magi-Clean;
3) The return pump is strong still but acts up. I turn this pump on and off a lot and sometimes it would not turn on. You can either replace it or just turn it on and off.
4) The plumbing was disassembled (I dont know what I was thinking) but I loosened the bulkheads in the overflow compartment so these will need to be redone. Otherwise, the stop ball back flow plumbing part, and the drains on/off valve are included.
I can fill both tank and sump with water to show both have no leaks.
I can also include some live rock and chaeto to get you started as well as some untested quick start chemicals to shorten you cycle time requirements.
