He didn't realize that it was bad. I went to go pick it up and noticed a chip on the side panel on the inside of the tank that runs into the seal. It just needs a bead of silicone ran in the corner. I wasn't looking for a project so I didn't buy it.

I wouldn't buy it with a chip in it and silicone problems. Nobody wants 50 gallons of water dumped on their floor and $1000's lost on coral because of a faulty tank. He should've inspected the tank before he tried to sell it. If you didn't point it out, some other sucker would've gotten stuck with it.(no bueno)

Silicone I can probably deal with, but chip is a different story. How bad was the chip?
