I have a Aquamaxx Q2 for sale. Bought it new in September 2015, so it's only been in use for less then 6 month. Love the small footprint, but it's oversized for my tank. I also have a brand new spare replacement pump that will be included. Great for maintance, without skimmer downtime. Asking $300 or $250 without the spare pump. Skimmer is still online, until sold. Pick up in anaheim

Never heard someone say a skimmer was oversized for their tank. I run a slimmer rated for a 250 gallon on my 50. GLWS

Me neither, always thought bigger is better. But been running this thing since September and I can never get it to skim right. I replace a vertex150 for this skimmer. If only I can turn back the hand of time.

I had an atb1250 on my 150 and it was too much. It was super finicky and didn't skim well

Probably user errror...

Try taking it apart and clean it.

What is the recommended water height?
