Right what? Go ahead and call CADLight, ask why the box clearly shows "Cadlight Aquarium Furniture" for the tank, and if it's a knock off, why hasn't he pursued action?

They then state the tanks "only" come in white boxes, and have "trapezoid" overflows (All the NEW 2011 Models do though). Which is false, because the old Cadlight 50 gallon artisans come packaged with your typical brown box, with the sump inside (Go ahead and google "50 Gallon artisan build" and see the many people who'm ordered one a few years back and tell me the boxes you see, and overflow boxes.

There would be NO reason for the company to randomly knock off JUST Cadlights 50 gallon cube. Some at CL put in the order for too many tanks, messed up one way or another and didn't pay for these tanks because the new model came out.

Proof in the pudding?

Check out this link (Scroll through the first page, and on the first picture look in the background, what box do you see?) This is one of just many tanks you can find by typing in google and look for build threads on them, you'll see more boxes.
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1835243

Here are pictures of the so called "Knock off tank", which the company selling these remainder tanks even went as far as covering on the box with stickers where it did once say "Cadlight aquarium furniture", cleary NOT selling them as "Cadlight tanks", once you pull off their personal sticker, this is what you see..

P.S. Let me make this clear, I too purchased one of these tanks thinking it was a true CadLight tank, and I paid top dollar for it. Once I decided to go another direction and sell it, is when I was first notified that it was NOT a true CL. After doing further research, and contacting CL it just wasn't measuring up, first of all why would the company selling these cover on the box where it shows "Cadlight Aquarium Furniture" with one of their own, second why would CL lie and say the tank NEVER came in a brown box, with a square overflow? If this company was "knocking off your product", even as far as Using your company slogan on the box, why haven't you pursued legal action? (Just to make this clear, the box that the T5 Light comes in is what has the slogan on it, and EACH light BULB shows "Cadlights".) CL has cleared this up though, stating the T5 light DID in fact come with their smaller size aquarium. Ok, if that's the case why are they selling your lights? I could go on, but if someone really wants the truth they can research on their own.

I believe 110% what Bob is selling is a TRUE Cadlight 50 gallon artisan tank, sump, and light. Although the rest seems to be Knock off because all the boxes are PRINTED with "SCAquarium". <---Again, why wouldn't they just print the tanks box with "SCAquarium", instead covering it with a "Scaquarium" sticker.

Dear fellow reefers

As i stated from another thread of how to determine an authentic CAD Lights aquarium. our tanks will all come with a unique ID# for quality assurance, warranty and authenticity. we will only put it out for sale if it meets ALL of our safety and quality standards. many aquarium companies do this for keeping track of each aquarium as it is a product where safety is a main factor due to it holding so much weight and water for a potential of causing serious damage to the area and to the person(s) using it. if we have not built the tank or if it hasnt passed our quality and safety standards, there wouldnt a CAD Lights Aquariums unique ID# issued.

If anyone tells you that they built the tanks for us, that cannot be true. All of our Artisan tanks are built by us and our factory only so there wouldnt be any overstock. esspecially when they are built only in batches of 12-20 here in California or in NY. please feel free to come into our warehouse and workshop to see how each one of our 40G, 50G and 100G Artisan tanks are built. you can also see the clear quality differences in the Authentic Artisan aquariums than the ones in the pictures above.

it is very simple to make a box and print any name on it and misrepresent it as someone else's product. we have used many types of cardboard boxes throughout the years based on the shipping, aesthetics, and strength. we have been using white boxes for about 1.5 years. as a sign of mutual respect Brian, i would appreciate if you refrain from using my name in any untrue comments.

Not a problem, will edit my original post.

Would also like to know, *If* these tanks were a knock off, how are you so unsure they are not safe? Have you had one on hand to test? Do you know how these ones are made? Have you had or heard any experience of these ones failing? Would really like to hear your input.

Thank you.

I have one of these exact issues from the third party vendor not cadlight. I love it and have it in my living room right now very well made and very very attractive. If you can get past not being able to tell people you drive a beemer then a brand new hyundia sonota is a fantastic car to be in.......the clarity of the glass the seems the stand all very clean. Great deal on a tank "brand new" and ready for Life inside to flurish inside.......I wounder if the coral will know its not branded...........or maybe if its an only coral then it could for sure afford an origianl.

since it has ur name did u basically test it, determine it wasnt "safe" according to ur standards so u passed it to a 3rd party to sell under their name?
