Pretty cool! Probably a silly question to ask, but have you (or anyone) noticed an improvement in their livestock by using this? And furthermore, HOW do you use it? Is it dosed, or just poured in?

No it's not silly ahah I actually didn't think it would help cuz of other people's comments. I have a sea apple and maxima clams less than 3 inches since phyto is one of their primary source of food it helps to dose. There's different ways to dose I heard of people diluting it in water and running it thru a dosing pump. But the most common ways are to pour it in a high flowed area and to spot feed certain animals. Although people says it doesn't benefit corals, it benefits some indirectly. After I started dosing I started seeing a bloom of pods. Every part of the glass I could see groups of them just chilling aha. Since most corals eat pods it does benefit them. I heard some people says that it raises phosphates but I've been dosing for about almost a month now and phosphates are undetectable. You actually have to know how much you tank needs. Some people say that the general rule is 5ml per 50 gallons but it honestly depends on your tank. I dose 20ml everyday for my 90g cube (10 for my apple,5 for my clams, and the rest for pods and stuff) but it really just depends on how much it needs. It's like your fish food if you had too much of course there's gonna be high nutrients. Phyto is kinda the same. The only thing different is that it's alive and can stay live in your tank for a while and compete for nutrients with other nuisance algae until it breaks down and turn into nutrients itself. I hope that helped. I tried to be as unbiased as possible but I haven't experienced any bad things about it except for being lazy to stir my stored phyto in the fridge everyday. Other then that it's pretty awesome.
