Description:
The Extreme XS skimmers are powered by the high performance Italian Sicce pumps. The skimmer has a gate valve output which allows for more adjustment of the skimmer compared to ball valves and the old wedge pipe. The Sicce PSK1000 pump has an improved star wheel impeller. They are much more advanced with a digital circuit to control start up direction and speed, ultra low noise and huge air draw numbers. The skimmer produces up to 32scfh of air pull using the provided pinwheel impeller. (Air results will vary depending on aquarium setup.) Each Sicce pump draws less than 30watts of electricity. The collection cup has a quick release neck for easy removal for cleaning. It requires 1/2 inch of clearance to remove the cup. The Extreme XS skimmer uses metric plumbing parts.

I have done some.research and there have been complaints on the pump as far as start up and noise. Have you had any issues with this pump? Why are you getting rid of this skimmer?

That's interesting, I've heard great reviews on it and used it myself on my Seaside Aquatic CS2 Skimmer. Its the go to pump for Avast Marine and JNS skimmers. Probably the best medium skimmer pump on the market. The PSK-1000 is the PSK-2500(previous model) but with slight design improvements.

Jason shut down his tank, thus why he has no need for this skimmer

The complaints I saw were on bulk reef supply, there were 8 reviews and a couple mentioned the pump issues, so I am not pulling this out of the air, no pun intended. Your review is duly noted, however.

Ya, I'm not sure what issues people are talking about. I take everything I read online with a huge grain of salt. People do some really stupid stuff. I've never had an issue with it and as Wally was sayin, this pump is used on so many skimmers. It has a good reputation in the industry. Call or text me if you want it.
