Just bought this guys from an established tank fully qt’edIn my DT now for 1 day. Getting bullied hanging out in the top corner. This is a bad sign for me that he will never be accepted despite mirror trick or what not. 3 in. Eating flakes.

location 92867 OC

a little banged up but fat and healthy.

asking $60. Will be easy catch. Will take him out to new qt tank soon. IMG_9764.jpeg IMG_9763.jpeg IMG_9762.jpeg

You might want to take out the bully fishes, and then reintroduce them back into DT.
Yeah I tried that in the past but really hard to catch the bully. Not sure he will last in the tank while I try to trap the bully

This is why they make acclimation boxes. Seriously, it’s always a risk adding new fish to an established tank. Reefing Art makes a few different sizes that are very affordable.

I do have an acclimation box but it did not work in the past. I tried reintroducing the bully also in the past. Lasted a few weeks then bully started bullying again. I guess I should try again. Maybe different fish different outcome

Scopas has that tail spike, so I think it will be fine once the other fishes get used to it.
The purple tang did not like him and got bigger tail spike haha. Finger cross. Still available if someone has a better home.

Purple and Scopas tangs are both zebrasomas. zebrasomas will often fight each other if the tank isn't large enough. Also if 1 is already established then he may be a bully to any other incoming additions. It is best to try and add them at the same time. Even at that they may still fight.

I have a good sized Scopas and a smaller Desjardin tang (both zebrasomas). The Scopas thinks he is the boss of the tank right now. He's been chasing the smaller tang. But nothing major because they are both used to the tank and pecking order.

But the Scopas is not going to be happy when I drop in a couple new tangs (not zebrasomas) and some blue/green chromi in the tank soon. They'll have to figure out the new pecking order. I got a mirror ready. Normally, I would use an acclimation box, but I feel like it is better to introduce all the new fish at once so the aggression is spread around.

Your none zebrasomas may not even care that you added other tangs though they do tend to be the more aggressive of the bunch.
