FS Threads on Home Page

Is there a setting I need to set to get for sale threads back on the homepage? OR was this taken out on purpose? I think by bringing this feature back, it may bump up the amount of active users.

I think it was taken out because the forum started to look more like craigslist. Things got pretty congested.

I think it was a great idea removing those posts. The sales forum is just a click away.

Somethings have change to get more ppl interested in this app and site cuz I heard if u start to sale a lot of members get mad and the more activities there is on here the more ppl will use it

That is correct, we are trying to have a community that shares knowledge and help each other out but some just like to come here to dump stuff they don't need or sell stuff above retail. Its cool if you sell stuff but not all the time. This is not craigslist.

I don't use the home page, I just go to New Posts page (http://www.socalireefs.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post) which shows the for sale threads and everything else that is new since I last visited

It actually looks like the for sale threads are gone from the tapatalk feed as well. you actually have to navigate to the market forum.

Just make sure you bookmark that link that says do=getnew in it and not the page that you go to when you click the link.

It doesn't attract active users it attracts people who only want to use those parts of the forum. It has nothing to do with long time members getting mad about people selling. I've sold and bought plenty on here. Other members too. [MENTION=3628]BeanMachine[/MENTION] has some great deals going on good equipment right now. The point is that certain people only come to sell. The come to take advantage of the community and not become part of it. If you look at all the post from someone and they only post in the sale threads they are just users. Taking it off the homepage is an effort to get participation in other areas of the forum.
