I WILL be accepting credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express) through PayPal Here (Card reader) at MAX.

Extra $2 fee for using a card since they want me to factor in sales tax.

So bring cash, hint hint. Lol.

I am sad to announce that there will be no tisbe copepods for sale at MAX. Amphipods raided my culture and ate all my little copepods. I ordered a new pure strain of Tisbe Copepods and they will be available in 2-3 weeks. I am sorry for the inconvienence and I hope I didn't break any hearts. I pride myself on culturing concentrated live tisbe copepods and this road block will not stop me!!!

Some good news, my blue ochtodes is doing very well and I will have many 2" frags available!

I also have a new macro algae for sale (where the amphipods came from)- gelidium sp.! More commonly know as the red fern. I will be selling 2" long fragments of this macro algae for $15. This stunning red plant definitely competes with blue ochtodes. I just want a tank full of this stuff. Pictures will be in next post! (When I get access to a computer)

Not sure if I was right to not wait until MAX. Does my bottle have any of these Amphipods? :)
I see a few of those tiny pot in my tank here and there. However, I also see a lot of the small "shrimp" look a like crawling every where on the rocks. I have no idea where they are coming from. If the mandarin dragonet can eat those guys then I can have one.

Both amphipods and copepods are edible for a mandarin dragonet. It just turns out amphipods are higher on the food chain than copepods and may eat them. I doubt your bottle had any since there was a tisbe copepod population in it, but having either specimen is a plus.

Do you have any more ochtodes available? I'd be happy with even a tiny piece by local mail... I'm in the Los Angeles area.

I have Tigriopus californicus (Tigger copepods) and phytoplankton (Nanocropolis) available. $15 shipped for either one. The tigger copepods are larger, orange colored copepods. I lost my tisbe strain due to neglect and can not find a new supplier who will ship me living ones. I am planning on making a new thread once I have more in stock.

Once I get more tigger copepods in stock, I will start a new thread with a link to a video via photobucket. I just split the mother culture today, but I can film it as a demo. How many, I can not say. Estimate, around 500 good sized adults with many younger copepods. I recently bought a tisbe culture from aqua culture nursery farm, but due to the temperature fluctuations I received the package DOA, along with the replacement. I am waiting for winter to kick in before I place another order. Cold packs are just not cutting it in 100 degree weather.
