Hi Everyone,

New to the forum here and just wanted to introduce myself and hobby business Gem Corals located in Aliso Viejo (Orange County).

My name is Chad and I've had reef tanks on and off for about 15 years now. My experience until about 2 years ago was mostly with nano reefs at which point I started my first large SPS dominant reef which is shown below. Over the past 2 years I've jumped in pretty deep and am now starting a hobby business under the name Gem Corals. My hopes with Gem Corals is to provide high quality captive grown coral at fair prices and with as much information as possible to provide a fun buying experience. To that end, I'm delaying launch of my website until I can provide colony photos of everything I will sell which I hope to have going by late 2020. I will focus mainly on Acropora but will also be growing a variety of other corals to a lesser extent (zoas, acans, mushrooms and some leathers).

I've not yet got to meet many local reefers and hope to do so through socalireefs and local events. Here is a quick overview of my systems. Thanks for looking and hope to meet some of you out there in the near future.

Display: 165 gallon 6' tank run on full Triton (no water change system) started Jan 2018. The tank is lit by an ATI 8 bulb wifi power module LED T5 hybrid.
Frag System: My frag system is about a 250 gallon setup (8'x3'x14") all custom built locally by Advanced Acrylics. The tank is lit by 6 Radion G4 pros and setup as a full Triton system to start but will likely switch to either a calcium reactor or hybrid system once more fully populated.

Thank you both! Absolutely, I'd love to have you both out once I get things just a little further along over the next few months. The frag tank is in the post cycle ugly stage at the moment so not a whole lot in there just yet. Once it stabilizes I'm going to frag a good amount from my display to get it populated and I'll be sure to post an update then.
