i don't see it being a bad thing. maybe cuz i'm new to reefing but preserving greatness for future enjoyment can't be a bad thing.

I also think it is a good thing. But I think this is going to cause alot of the pricing to go up. When the demand starts to exceed the avai. things are going to start to go up. I was thinking in the gas price ways.

Thats awesome! Im happy he did this. I don't think this would raise prices for us at all since we won't import our corals from that region.

Well I think it is good. As far as costs going up, you haven't seen anything yet. Just wait until after the 21st. All of us small business owners are gonna get screwed in taxes. You think reefing is expensive now, just wait.

A small section of ocean preserve is not going to effect pricing on anything in this hobby. Conservation areas ensure a safe breeding ground for species that may be otherwise pushed to the brink by collecting pressures.

FYI- a lot of this legislation has been in works for years, he's just the guy signing it into law.

Lots.

Everyone acts like this is the first economic downturn the country has ever faced.

I think I'll dress down a bit and get in his soup line. :laugh:

yeah it's not bad, prices aren't going to be helped by this. But hey protect a reef buy a stable coral and be happy.
