I have never glued any aqua scape before and am going to start a new tank soon and was thinking about gluing some rocks together but... what kind of glue would you guys recommend? Looking for cheap, fast bonding, and preferably that will bond while wet. It's going to be a nano tank so most pieces will be fairly small.

Checked online hd didn't seem to have it but true value does. .. how long did you have to hold two pieces before it bonded to work on the next piece or pieces? Does the rock have to be dry?

They make a purple color "Coralline" I believe its called. Unless you want cement grey, I'd get the purple.

This stuff works great for securing smaller rocks together without the hassle of drilling and inserting acrylic rods. Its not going to be as stable so a rockslide is still possible, but its better than not using anything.

Purple cement would have been nice but 8 to 10 bucks for a little tube i'd live with gray cement. I got the nyos reef cement. Will post an update with pics when I eventually get around to the set up.

Still waiting on black silicone from my lfs to go over the glass for the new (used) tank. Home depot by my house only has white and clear. The only black one they carry isn't aquarium safe. Been waiting a whole week for this black silicone. Should get it by Tuesday and will definitely post some pics after my first cement aqua scape

I have used the putty that they sell in fish stores it works well. This time I drilled the rock and used driveway markers. You can get them at lowes

Wow well I finally got around to using this and what a nightmare. Nothing like the videos. Either it got hard too fast and crumbled in my hands or it was just right and after letting it set for half an hour the cement just broke off. I used half and it got me nowhere. I ended up just staking the rocks to the best of my ability. Kinda bumbed but whatever. Anyone good with this stuff and wants the half I didn't use for free let me know.
