So I've had this pink goniopora colony for a few months that I picked up from an established tank. The goni was doing fine in my tank, polyps were out and everything.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the polyps wouldn't extend as much. Then just about a week ago I noticed a couple of pin holes in the middle of the colony. I thought that was kind of weird because I would have thought if part of the colony died, I would see the skeleton and not a cavity hole. Algae starting growing around the rim of the pin holes, so at that point I decided to just go ahead and frag up the colony and hopefully save the goni or at least part of it.

While fragging I noticed a few brittle type worms in the live rock that was attached to the goni colony. Could they possibly be the reason for the pin holes? Anyone else have this happen to their goni's or coral colonies. Well I ended fragging the goni into 6 pieces, so hopefully they make it or least some of them. I cut them thin and made sure that there wasn't anything underneath the frags before glueing them down.

So if the frags make it, I'll have a few bright pink goni frags for sale/trade :)
