My boys had a great time at the boat race and if you have children under 12 they can join the race free before 12 today. I picked up three healthy frags from All Delight Coral, Wayne beat me to the large Diabolic Pacman, but I wrestled the large Aqua SD from Exotic frags Into my bag. Sold some frags at SCRK and you guys missed out on huge colonies of Rob's Green Slimer for cheap. Saw 5 tank building companies and the quality of Precision Aquariums was awesome and Leemar is back under a new name doing custom tanks! Brian at Age had some of his personal collection and I picked up a nice Pink Floyd frag. Did try my luck in the raffle and realized that my wife has all the luck and will let her play today. Met some new hobbyists in the club row and picked up a nice stag from Northern Valley Reefers. Got a nice frag of a Tierra Del Fuego type of Coral from Jess at Diablo in the Reef Wholesale booth. Jimmy has a beautiful Lightning Maroon for sale, I have a pair already or I would have bought. Listened to a great talk from Reefbrite about spectrum and quality of light is more important than par, and he has a very cool spectrometer in their booth. Reefbrites Rock and are a great add on if you have T5 or Halide. There were plenty of great healthy frags at very fair prices and for those of you who did not enjoy the show maybe you are more addicted to the message board than your tank? I would advise all of you to get up and head on down to Max, bring your kids, and enjoy the hobby! Bring a cooler for your frags filled with ice cold beers, I love this hobby
Was admission $15 before? I don't remember exactly but it just doesn't feel like the admission has gone up much if any. Facility fee must have gone up and I think the organizer sort of relies on the participating vendors to take the hit instead of the consumers. Thus I'm fine with not getting as many free goodies as before.

Think its always been $15, but the best way for companies to advertise their products is through sampling.. my first time getting and trying rods food because they usually ran out before.. after the first feeding im most likely going to buy more. Without the free sample id probably never consider buying any.
