After 5-6 years in captivity my gorgeous female onyx clownfish fell ill due to an acquired injury somehow leading to an infection and eventual death.. my pride and joy gone, there goes $150 and happy memories.. good bye old friend, you lasted longer than most fish..

should i bury, burn or leave her body in the trashbag?

What a bummer (understatement here). Hopefully the good times make these hard times easier to take.

Ultimately your call...
But with that length of service and the emotional attachment would merit a burial in my book. Maybe you can plant an orange tree or flower right over the site so that your fish's last gift is fertilizing the plant that will live on as a memory.

RIP and my condolences, yea, it sucks so bad to see these beautiful sea creatures die, and not be able to help them out; sooner or later, we too will pass on, life is too dang short! keep on reefing!:)

Sorry Wally! But if you had her for over 5 years that definitely is not a loss! I'm sure most hobbyist would be happy to have any fish live that long!!! I have one for sell if you need another? LMK!

thats sucks man! sorry for your loss. It's crazy how prizes have gone up. When I was a couple years in to the hobby I use to buy those for 16.00 for the large females and 12.00 for the males.... I wish I had a time machine... I'd make bank! lol

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate it alot especially how great and supportive so many people on this forum is!!!

'bout that onyx in the mangrove setup, I think he jumped. Those rimless tanks are stylish, but a gamble!

Hahaha, I'll take that into consideration.

Sorry bout your clown. Freeze it
Sorry to hear about your loss, I feel your pain on the platinum. I remember getting pair and 3 weeks later, my anemone ate one of them. I think it got sick and loss it mucus coating which caused the nem to turn on it. Because it wasn't dying, I ate like a champ! Thats the thing with platinum, ya never know if they're sick cause of their skin color!

Yeah, I wish it was that price still. There's a LFS that has a perfect one for $85 but it's juvi size. Price inflation can be said with alot of aspect in this industry: SPS, ultra nems, zoas, chalice!
