Works way different than the regulator I used before. Sure you set seconds per bubble/bubbles per second but you also change size of bubbles, so at first I set the pressure to 15lbs (what I had it at before) and bubble count at 1 bubble every 10 seconds, same setting I had it on before. Well it took the pH down in the reactor to below 7 in minutes lol. So now I am just adjusting the size of bubble, right now it is at 4.5lbs pressure.
4.5 wasn't enough pressure, I now raised it to 5.5. What I am doing is getting my base set, instead of lowering seconds per bubble I'd rather adjust the pressure, that way as needed I can lower the bubble count in the future.
I've been running one for years. I run my regulator on manual with no controller for over 10 years now. I have my reg dialed in to match my consumption rate. I always keep my low pressure gauge set at 4. I only tweek small adjustments with the bubble count per second
