There isn't one because it's always a hassle. Last one I did it was like pulling teeth getting people to participate. People talk about about SCR being dead and all they do is complain and cry when instead they can be contributing by starting a build thread or opening up a reef topic. Only time they come here is when there is drama. But maybe if a sponsor wants to do one at affordable price they can pm me. Just not many reefers during summer. Maybe during winter? Who knows.

More hobby talk here than on SCRC. That's more like a Craigslist site. And what they can't sell there they pop up over here.

I think reefing is dead as a hobby fewer people are in it everything cost a lot more. Everyone seem to have quit. plus i think everyone is on Facebook groups now as there's more diversity of people. Not very good content building but there are more fragstar millionaires.

R2R is starting to gain my favor because it seems to win over both for the more hobby talk aspect.
I have always liked R2R the best of all forums since I got into the hobby, the only problem is that it lacks the locals like SCR has.

It's a niche for sure, it's also expensive, which is why you see a large turnover rate. Aquariums are known to be relaxing, that's why I try to stay in the hobby, and my son loves it too. Definitely not in it to get rich off frags, which so many people seem to try and do.

Let’s have an aptasia grow out competition! Lol
I personally prefer Scr over r2r, people on R2R try and charge an arm an a leg for there frags, while Most SCR members keep hobbiest prices, are local, and I have a good time meeting and talking with some of you about the hobby, I tried starting up on RC, but that place seems really boring. Plus I’m lazy when it comes to introducing my self. I haven’t even started a tank build thread on here.
