On my way out the door to work this early morning, I noticed my green carpet anemone had moved overnight from a rock about 3 inches high to the sand bottom. It would have been interesting under normal circumstances had the nem not decided to fully "embrace" the poor crocea clam. Moreover, the nem might have also brushed off my green BTA on its descent. Needless to say, I had to roll up my sleeve and tried to extract the clam from the nem's bottom, then moved both the clam and the BTA to my other tank. The clam seemed upset, all clammed up. So did the BTA.
I guess the carpet will have its own space to roam now. I just hope the clam and BTA will be OK when I come home.
What an adventure this hobby's been.

I didn't know about the "moving to eat" part! This guy - huge, a good 8" or 9" when fully expanded -consumed a fish before, a big one at that, when I brought him, his maroon clown buddies and the tank home. I have a nagging suspicion, though unconfirmed yet, about the non-appearance of my citron goby, which I added 10 days ago.
