Can hammers sting a feather duster? Also it touched a cut on my hand it gave me a good sting. Has that happened to anyone else or did I just scrape my hand and panic because I thought I touched a hammer?

Yes to both questions. I've had many euphyllia stings. It's similar to a anemone sting. Don't worry you won't die but it'll probably itch a bit a leave a small rash.

The thing is you can touch these corals with the bottom(palm side) of your hand because they are rougher. As soon as they touch anywhere else on your hand/arm you fill it because its more sensitive.
