Harliquin shrimp? Do they pinch, or bite?

i don't think it could bite, it would just try to run away from you or scare you by holding up it's pinchers.

Ok maybe not, I still would not handle them though, spiders yes but weird starfish stinging Shrimp. Um No.

i just gave a pair away... took them out wth my hand no biggie...


although the do inject venom into the starfish to paralyse them... yet my hand isn't a starfish...

Harlequin shrimp are very delicate. They neither bite nor sting . their claws/pinchers are too delicate to do anything like that.
Conclusion : Its very safe to handle Harlequin shrimp ( I am saying this from a 2 year experience with my harlequin)
