Hello all i am glad to meet you. I am 37 and have kept Salt water tanks since i got out of the Army in 1999 i had an aggressive 55gallon acrylic tank at first. When I moved i dropped back to a 15 gallon in my bedroom but got the wife to break loose finally and let me try my hand at what i am starting now 110 gallon acrylic. It has been a long time and there was never such a valuable recourse as this when i started. I appreciate any help or pointers as this is my first reef tank and am hoping to bypass any noob pit falls. The lighting has come along way and my set up was used so i am going with what i got at the moment but looking hard at LED i am running t-5's at the moment. I have a fair amount of practical skills I am willing to share, mechanic, welding, electrical and hope to make some good contacts and with any luck some friends.

welcome,,
how is your tank set up? are you using gfo? the longer the hair algae grows in your tank the harder it is to get out. there are many ways to battle it. turbo snails algae scrubbers refugium.
