Hi,

Just thought i'd say Hello to everyone. Im Tom from Bolton in the UK.

Im currently running a 16gal nano (dmensions are 45cmx40cmx40cm) it isnt sumped but has 3 rear chambers.

Its been up and running since April 2013. Its nothing special but its my 1st attempt at a salty world lol.

For filteration i use Seachem Seagel and Seachem Purigen, JBL filterfloss and also have 7kg of live rock in the tank.

Equipment list:

Eheim 1000 compact return pump
Vortech MP10W ES
Chinese 50w full spectrum, dimmable LED tile
100w glass heater
4 stage RO unit (with DI stage)
I also use a spare 100w glass heater and a Tunze 6025 powerhead fof mixing my salt (salt im currently using is Red Sea Coral Pro)

Stand is homemade.

Corals:

Mixed softie and LPS tank.... i will be looking to keep SPS later in 2014 (i had a try in 2013 but i wasnt prepared so i need to pick up a doser and then ill have another try).

Pictures:

Ive got plenty more pictures but dont want to clog the thread up lol.

So this sounds like it's time to upgrade. What do you want to do different

The long term plan is to upgrade to a 3x2x2 (cant really go any bigger than that due to where i want to put the tank). Id love a drop aquarium but all depends on cost. Stock wise really want to go all out a do a full mixed reef but only go for high end corals... i suppose thats what were all after... probably a pipe dream lol.

Short term... im going to pick myself up a 3 channel doser. Break up my rockwork so i can create a better structure (havent really been happy with my current scape since i started really) and have a go at SPS again. I hope i can do this within the next few months. Hopefully it will set me up for getting a bigger tank. When i look at some of the tanks out there with SPS i am in awe.
