Hi all, I'm Kenneth from Walnut, CA

I'm a first time hobbyist with anything that has to do with aquariums, my mom actually bought my 2 yr old son a 5gal FW tank which got me into looking at aquarium set ups, saw some saltwater tanks and was instantly hooked. I've been in the hobby for about 3 months. Started with a Fluval Edge 6 Gallon that my buddy sold me for $40 which i thought was a good deal, cycled it with live rock/sand and added a CUC. I just picked up a Red Sea Reefer Nano yesterday cause Willie at Ocean Marine Sales gave me a deal I couldn't pass up! Still need to put together all the essentials, would love some suggestions, I set up the tank, plumbing and sump, still need a return pump. I've been eyeing the Eheim compact+ 3000, Sicce Syncra 2.0 and the Jebao DCT4000 as a return pump and Aquamaxx WS1 Skimmer for the sump, anybody with input on any of these?

Nice tank! Those flame scallops are really cool but I think their survivability in our tanks is pretty low. Keep an eye on it and get ready to pull it if it dies.

Awesome setup! Welcome to the slums, I really like that tank, if I had a tank with a sump I would get the Ecotech Vectra M1, control-ability for a return pump is amazing.
