I know they are dangerous to work with.. But they have taken over a lot of my favorite rock pieces! I need to know how to beat them back without killing my rock and poisoning my tank...
Anybody have some input? It's getting out of control already... I've been too complacent by about getting them out, and now I'm paying the price :(

Such a rookie move.

Honestly I think you are stuck with them without removing rock and replacing with new.

Or get a angel that hopefully loves polyps.

Dang.. I can dry out most of it.. But s couple are invaded along w nems and coral on them. There's no effective way to kill them in tank then?

That's why I never glue frags directly to rock work, always glue them on small rock pieces that I can move around and trim when necessary

I used to use Joes Juice on some eagle eyes that were in my tank and it took care of them.

Thanks.. Well, I carved the crap out of all my rock trying to get all of the flesh off.. Took a sharp blade and 4.5 hrs, but it's done! My hands are mutilated and on fire, and not sure it's related, but have a scratchy throat as well :/
I put it all back in and an running fresh carbon and saying a prayer to the reef gods I got em all, and the tank can tolerate any toxins left behind after rinsing.
I need a cold beer, or five... What a pita!

So far so good.. With the tank at least! I can't stop sneezing and blowing my nose.. And my lips and mouth have a lemony or metallic taste now.. I can't believe I did this AGAIN! I tried wearing latex gloves at first. But I was surely gonna slice my hand with how slippery they were. Gonna hafta get some kind of textured waterproof gloves for next time I guess. They better be gone after all this gargbage.. Lol
