I am trying to get some colored slug or nudibranch and horseshoe crab. Are they reef safe? Is there anything special or something must know before buying?
Please advise.

Thank you!

the colored nudibranchs have very specific diets, that usually can not be duplicated in an aquarium. they will not eat substitute foods. when they die, they release toxins that will kill everything in your tank. in my opinion it is better left in the ocean.
i can't help you on horse shoe crabs. they get big, that's about all i know on them.

I'm probably a little late here, but I would advise against the horseshoe crab. They move around like a drunk through the tank and though "reef safe" (because they only eat detritus) they will disturb inhabitants. I had one in my tank for a while and I was always concerned it would end up stabbing one of my clams with it's sword like tail during one of its upside down swims through the reef. They also tend to get themselves lodged in between things and have difficulty getting out, not sure how these things manage to survive in the wild.

well they are slow growers... but still... it's going to outgrow your tank... once it is about 2.5" i would get it out...

+1. Every time it decided to go for a swim, my stomach would be in my throat.
